Press Release: March 27, 2019
DURHAM, N.C. — Purcado, the shoe price-comparison website saving users up to 70% off retail prices, announced on Wednesday a new technology that allows users to personalize their search and shop for the best deal on over 200,000 shoes in a matter of seconds. Purcado works with over 100 stores to provide price transparency on over 1,000 brands. The latest innovation in retail price aggregator technology pulls daily-updated prices, styles and size availability all into one place—elevating the user experience on both desktop and mobile.
“Most people don’t know if they’re getting the best price on shoes,” stated Jeff Caudill, Purcado founder and president. “They may think they see a good deal and click through only to discover that the shoe isn’t available in their size, or that the price increases when they select another color option. Our new algorithm erases this hassle by doing all the work for the shopper, leaving them confident they’ve found the best price on the shoes they want without the need to bounce from site to site.”
How it works: The shopper is able to personalize their search and discover which store has the best price and availability on the shoes they want. Purcado funnels each store’s shoe inventory into a sophisticated engine that sorts and matches the product information then lists that data in one user-friendly, interactive window. Then, the shopper is seamlessly connected to the retailer to check out.
With this new upgrade, users are able to experience:
Purcado now provides an unprecedented amount of shoe information organized in one place, removing the need to search multiple sites to compare price and availability.
“The online marketplace brings an overwhelming amount of information to the shopper but fails to provide true price transparency,” Caudill said. “Purcado’s new technology has revolutionized the organization of information overload. We’re giving the control back to the shopper, showing you all the shoe information in a streamlined and easy-to-follow format. And the best thing? There are no strings attached. No account sign-ups or app downloads—just go to purcado.com and begin your search to save time and money.”
Purcado is the one site shoppers need to check before they buy shoes. Users save an average of 30% off retail prices on each purchase. Affiliated with the most reputable online retailers, the site displays the deepest shoe deals on the internet. Purcado enables users to search, compare and select the lowest price on the shoes of their choice in one click, saving shoppers time and money with quick, quality results and simple price comparisons. Purcado was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Durham, NC. Visit www.purcado.com for more information.

Jeff Caudill is the founder and president of Purcado, Inc. Believing in the power of aggregate search technology, Jeff launched Purcado in 2016 with the mission of providing an easier online shopping experience and price transparency to the everyday customer.
Jeff was only a 24-year-old graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when the idea for Purcado sprung up. As an avid sneakerhead who owns more than 100 pairs of shoes, Jeff spends quite a bit of time online shopping. After spending an incredibly stressful afternoon hopping from site to site to compare prices, he became frustrated with the process. Information overload set in and he was discouraged. Why couldn’t searching for a pair of sneakers be as simple as searching for a great deal on a flight?
Soon, a strategy was hatched and he set out to assemble a team to design an aggregate search engine for shoes—one that would take retailer data and organize it for simple price comparisons. Since its inception in late 2016, Purcado has grown to a team of eight full-time employees and a handful of consultants.
As the son of a seasoned entrepreneur, Jeff turned to his father, Lowry, for advice during the early stages of the project. Being exposed to the world of entrepreneurship from such a young age, Jeff always knew he wanted to emulate his father’s business sense. Lowry still maintains a large role on the Purcado advisory board.
