Jeff Caudill, Founder + President

Jeff Caudill is the founder and president of Purcado, Inc. Believing in the power of aggregate search technology, Jeff launched Purcado in 2016 with the mission of providing an easier online shopping experience and price transparency to the everyday customer.

Jeff was only a 24-year-old graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when the idea for Purcado sprung up. As an avid sneakerhead who owns more than 100 pairs of shoes, Jeff spends quite a bit of time online shopping. After spending an incredibly stressful afternoon hopping from site to site to compare prices, he became frustrated with the process. Information overload set in and he was discouraged. Why couldn’t searching for a pair of sneakers be as simple as searching for a great deal on a flight?

Soon, a strategy was hatched and he set out to assemble a team to design an aggregate search engine for shoes—one that would take retailer data and organize it for simple price comparisons. Since its inception in late 2016, Purcado has grown to a team of eight full-time employees and a handful of consultants.

As the son of a seasoned entrepreneur, Jeff turned to his father, Lowry, for advice during the early stages of the project. Being exposed to the world of entrepreneurship from such a young age, Jeff always knew he wanted to emulate his father’s business sense. Lowry still maintains a large role on the Purcado advisory board.
